WOSA 2016 : About WOSA

National Board of Accreditation is organising the third world summit on accreditation to be held in March 2016 from 18th to 20th at New Delhi.

WOSA series brings together eminent speakers from industry, corporate and academia from India and overseas to facilitate free discussion on subjects in concern to best practices in accreditation and means to improve quality of education through these practices. The discussion and global participation in WOSA- 2016 will bring about new ideas and help in establishing new trends of identifying opportunities and challenges in professional education world-wide.

Background

WOSA is a biennial summit being organised by NBA. The first World Summit on Accreditation (WOSA – 2012) was organized in March 2012, focused around the theme “Achieving Excellence through Accreditation”. The summit was attended by around 800 participants from Academia and Industry. NBA continued the practice and organised the second World Summit in March 2014. It emphasised on “International Recognition of Education Qualification” - a theme that had great significance globally in the context of trade and technical service worldwide. In 2014 also the summit was a great success and attended by around 900 participants. The previous conferences were well appreciated and welcomed by academicians, industry and policy makers world-wide.

Themes and Sub-Themes

The theme of WOSA 2016 is “Quality Assurance through Outcome Based Accreditation” and the sub-themes are:

  • Theme 2 - Improving Quality through attainment of Learning Outcomes
  • Theme 3 - Technical Education – An Indian Perspective
  • Theme 4 - Industry Expectations from Academia
  • Theme 5 – Effective Use of ICT for Education and learning
